Job Summary
Conduct daily memory care support for residents, creating human connection during vulnerable moments and partnering with them through all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping. Discover each resident's interests and abilities to implement appropriate engagement plans, while managing the physical environment by preparing dining areas, libraries, and rooms for routines. Assist residents with mobility, including sitting, standing, walking, and post-fall recovery, while documenting care changes and conditions. Collaborate with team members on orientation and maintain accurate records. This role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with a full-time schedule at Castlewood in Nixa, MO.
Required Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- Positive and energetic attitude
- Love for residents
- Computer skills to print documents and enter information about residents
- Ability to stand, walk, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking
- Ability to assist persons after a fall
- Criminal clearance
