Job Summary

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, mobility, and toileting. Provide medication assistance following the five rights, take vital signs, and complete monthly summaries, weights, and assessments. Support residents to the dining room for meals and engage them in daily activities and scheduled programming. Observe residents for changes in condition or behavior, communicate promptly with the nurse, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record. Wash resident laundry, monitor supplies, and maintain a clean, safe, calm environment. Build positive relationships with residents, families, and the care team while supporting a team-first approach in a fast-paced Memory Care setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of 40-hour Medication Aide coursework
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English
  • Must be able to independently lift up to 35 pounds
  • Must be able to perform repetitive sitting, bending, standing, walking, and movement as needed
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to utilize technology and care resources efficiently and effectively
  • Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids
  • Must be flexible, calm, and professional in stressful or changing situations

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with older adults and providing personal care services in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Dementia care, senior living, or a similar setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous Assisted Living, Memory Care, Dementia care, senior living, or personal care experience
  • A compassionate, dependable, and respectful approach to resident care
  • Strong communication skills with residents, families, nurses, and team members
  • Ability to notice changes in resident condition, mood, behavior, or needs and report concerns promptly
  • Strong attention to detail with care, medications, documentation, safety, and follow-through
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while staying calm, positive, and professional
  • Patience and comfort supporting residents with dementia, changing needs, and daily routines
  • A team-first mindset and willingness to support others throughout the shift
  • Commitment to resident dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life
  • Calm, observant, respectful, and motivated to put residents first
  • Understanding that Memory Care requires consistency, kindness, emotional steadiness, and a team-first approach
