Job Summary
The Memory Care Manager leads, coordinates and manages residents’ lives in the Memory Care neighborhood with a person-centered approach, collaborates with nursing staff to ensure continuity of care, and supports staff development through training and supervision. Responsibilities include implementing memory care policies, coordinating services and routines to foster meaningful resident experiences, interviewing and mentoring caregiver staff, developing and maintaining individual service plans, coordinating program calendars and activities, managing memory care assessments and life-story profiles, and ensuring resident well-being during transitions of care. The role requires strong documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and involves attendance at daily manager meetings and occasional on-call coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Dementia Care Specialist Certification strongly preferred
- Two or more years’ program experience in a memory care environment
- Two or more years’ experience as a supervisor with strong leadership skills
