Job Summary
Memory Care Director leads clinical operations for the Memory Care wing of an assisted living community, supervising care and medication staff, ensuring the highest standard of care for residents, and maintaining open communication with residents, families, and medical providers. Hands-on work with residents, staff, and families to guide them through the dementia journey.
Required Qualifications
- A valid and current nursing license in good standing.
- An effective communicator who can connect with staff, residents, and their families.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively resolve issues and find solutions.
- A deep commitment to supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents.
- Ability to be flexible.
- A passion for nursing, with a focus on the nursing process of assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcomes.
- Desire to continually build knowledge and skill sets to enhance our memory care programing.
- Basic computer skills to utilize EMARs, assessments, and care planning.
