Job Summary
Memory Care Director at Harmony Square oversees day-to-day operations, supervises Harmony Square team members (including Life Enrichment Assistant, PCA/CNA), and partners with the Healthcare Director to deliver resident-centered programs and activities. Responsible for planning monthly programs aligned with wellness dimensions, coordinating with the Life Enrichment Director and program team, scheduling outings, conducting resident/family care conferences, coordinating with clinical staff, and maintaining a stimulating, safe environment. Requires leadership, program development, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the ability to manage programs, training, and family communications; prior dementia care experience and supervisory experience strongly preferred. Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience; 3–5 years in dementia care; Dementia training or Certified Dementia Practitioner preferred or eligible. Must have a valid driver’s license and flexible availability.”,
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent educations and/or experience
- Three to five years’ experience working with individuals with Dementia including leading programs, managing behavior expression, and educating staff and families on Alzheimer’s and Dementia
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience supervising and managing staff
- Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities for seniors with Dementia
- Experience with Behavior Expressions redirection and interventions
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Dementia training or Certified Dementia Practitioner preferred or eligible for certification
