Job Summary
Develop and implement highest standards for Garden House services provided to residents while conducting electronic evaluations to ensure services are documented and charged per policy. Provide direct care to residents as necessary, observe significant changes in behavior and health, and report to the General Manager, physician, and family per state regulations. Manage team members through coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities; determine adequate staffing levels, recruit top talent, and prepare staffing schedules. Ensure all practices meet or exceed Merrill Gardens and state requirements by auditing services for regulatory compliance and maintaining resident records. Provide weekly status reports to the General Manager on all Garden House residents. This role requires current LPN/LVN or RN licensure, three years of related experience, and First Aid/CPR certification. Full-time positions include highly competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and 11 vacation days; part-time roles include 401(k) matching and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN/LVN or RN licensure as specified by state agency
- 3-years related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in assisted living, geriatric nursing, or gerontology and dementia care
- Experience in medication administration and hands-on personal care
- Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain department budget within guidelines
- Experience in operating an electronic care system
- First Aid/CPR certification (or must be able to obtain within 30 days of hire) where required by state
- Completion of Dementia training as required by state regulations
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform regular physical movement throughout the workday
Desired Qualifications
- Current LPN/LVN or RN licensure as specified by state agency preferred
- College Degree or equivalent preferred
- Experience in medication administration and hands-on personal care preferred
