Job Summary
Memory Care Coordinator leads staffing for the Reflections Community in Littleton, CO, by interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling caregivers and med techs; monitors resident care needs and changes in condition, and acts as liaison with the Wellness Director and families. Responsibilities include coordinating new hire orientation and ongoing education, training staff in dementia-related interventions, ensuring adherence to negotiated service plans and documentation, administering medications per procedure, maintaining incident and daily log records, coordinating regulatory training, and promoting teamwork across departments to address resident care with dementia. The role requires strong communication, infection control, and compliance with state/federal guidelines, and supports resident-family counseling and ongoing activity planning.
Required Qualifications
- State approved Medication Administration training
- current first aid certificate
- Minimum of 2 years of health-related experience including caring for people with dementia or supervisory/management experience with people with dementia
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in providing dementia-related resident-care service
- Understanding of universal precautions to avoid infection
- Ability to read and interpret safety operating procedures and documentation
- English communication skills and ability to follow written and oral directions
