Memory Care Coordinator ~ Senior Living Community ~ Billings ~ FT

Job Summary

Manage staffing needs by interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling caregivers and med techs for the Reflections Community. Monitor resident care needs, observe symptoms, and report changes to the Wellness Director. Address resident and family concerns, respond to special requests, and act as a liaison with community providers. Prepare and administer medications, maintain records of conditions, and update Negotiated Service Plans at change of condition or every three months. Coordinate daily activity schedules, quarterly family support groups, and mandatory training while ensuring infection control guidelines are met. Report incidents of suspected abuse immediately and complete incident trackers monthly. Work Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., with coverage shifts as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstration of our Core Values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect
  • Successful completion of State approved Medication Administration training
  • Current first aid certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years of health-related experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, document manuals, etc.
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English
  • Must be able to understand and follow written and oral directions
  • Must have the ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations according to MorningStar's standards and guidelines
  • Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in providing dementia related resident-care service
  • Understanding of standard techniques use in providing personal services for dementia residents
  • Understanding of techniques for caring for equipment and supplies
  • Good understanding of the basis of universal precautions to avoid infection of residents and self or contamination of equipment and supplies
  • Awareness of the assessment process
  • Understanding of the development and execution of negotiated care plans for resident with dementia

Desired Qualifications

  • Supervisory/management experience working with people with dementia
  • Experience caring for people with dementia
