Job Summary

Maintain an organized program of individual and group activities to sustain residents' potential through cultural, spiritual, physical, social, and intellectual engagement. Conduct quarterly resident surveys to evaluate current offerings and suggest new ones, while preparing a monthly schedule of activities that is amended as necessary. Drive the van when needed, assist with programming in the Salus/AL department, and maintain accurate records of each resident's activities. Deliver birthday cards to residents, post the schedule in public areas and the wellness center, and distribute it to department managers. Effectively communicate with team members, families, and residents; manage volunteers; and participate in wellness planning by communicating observations to the Wellness Director. Accommodate special events, evening, and weekend programs in work schedules while following all emergency procedures and safety policies.

Required Qualifications

  • An associate degree from an accredited college or university, or proof of satisfactory completion of two years of college, with major course of study in recreation or related field
  • Two years of full-time experience in the recreation field in an older adult population
  • State driver license

  • May be required to work weekends and holidays as assigned
