Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and participate in social events, outings, and on-site activities to ensure resident social, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs are met. Assist in implementing scheduled resident activities while monitoring and supporting residents by keeping up to date on social history profiles and modeling behavior management strategies. Act as a role model for communication strategies and engage residents in meaningful interactions. Ensure all activities occur according to schedule and assist in recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers. Maintain resident dignity, choice, and respect during care delivery. Valid driver's license required for bus training and outings. Schedule is Wednesday-Sunday 9AM-5:30PM.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience working in a senior living environment and/or social activity leadership
- Previous experience working in a memory care setting
- CNA/HCA
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with residents, guests and other team members
- Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure
- Must maintain current CPR/First Aid and Food Handler's credentials
- Proficiency in basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel
- Must be able to drive the bus for outings (will provide training)
