Job Summary
Deliver courteous service and handle all membership-related transactions accurately at the membership center. Sell Y memberships and promote programs while participating in the member retention system. Ask members about their Y experience and champion a clean culture by monitoring operational areas. Demonstrate Y values through responsible, honest, and respectful interactions with diverse clientele. Maintain a valid work permit, current First Aid and CPR certification, and complete mandatory child protection training.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in English, oral and written
- Minimum 1 year of related experience in the customer service industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and focus
- Experience working effectively with a diverse clientele
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR "C" certification
- Valid permit to work in Canada
- A Police Record check, not more than 6 months old
- Ability to complete the mandatory training for the protection of Children & Youth semi-annually
- Commitment to the Y mission and core values of responsibility, honesty, caring, respect, and inclusion
- Energetic, outgoing, and have a strong customer service focus
- Personal commitment to and understanding of the Y's mission, vision, values
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related field
- French language skills
- Previous Xplor system experience
