Job Summary
Membership Representative available on weekends/holidays at the Houston Zoo, delivering outstanding guest services and promoting memberships by explaining benefits and how membership supports the zoo’s mission. Responsibilities include answering member questions, updating member accounts, maintaining service standards, providing internal and external customer service, greeting members, handling payments and balancing the register, performing routine money-handling tasks, selling memberships during station rotations, operating office equipment and verifying documents for errors, and supporting the Membership department with special events.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in customer service within a high-volume operation with heavy customer contact
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidential information
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Advanced computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
- Proficient in speaking Spanish preferred, but not required
