Job Summary
Membership Growth Manager responsible for delivering membership acquisition strategies, nurturing prospective members, coordinating and attending events across the North East to drive visibility and engagement. Manages early-stage prospecting, supports the full sales cycle, delivers compelling presentations and membership overviews, builds relationships through the sales cycle, supports onboarding, and collaborates with marketing, account management and member services to ensure a joined-up approach. Requires strong relationship-building, prospecting, event coordination, and CRM/microsoft-office proficiency, with a focus on driving engagement and membership growth. The role is based in Newcastle with hybrid working arrangements and involves travel within the region as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, particularly the use of telephone and email
- Experience in business development, membership, customer engagement or similar
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload effectively
- Confident presenting to a range of audiences
- Target-driven with the ability to meet performance expectations
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Ability to work flexibly across locations and hours when required
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Enthusiasm for supporting the North East business community
