Membership Coordinator (Murray)

Job Summary
Maintain accurate membership records and database entries, process applications and renewals, and handle sensitive information securely. Field inquiries from families, answer phones, and communicate with parents and youth while taking payments. Oversee the lobby and monitor the main entrance into the facility. Engage with young members, offering mentorship and support as they navigate their Club experience. Assist with financial tasks such as invoicing and payment processing, and perform general clerical duties including filing, scanning, and data entry. This role supports Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake's mission to create an inclusive environment for youth and families in the Greater Salt Lake area.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, MVR check, and drug screening
- 18 years and over
- 21 years and over (to meet driving requirements), be willing and able to drive 15 passenger vans
- 2 years of office and/or customer service experience
- 1 year of experience working with youth
Desired Qualifications
- Some front desk, office, or customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Docs, with the ability to learn new software tools as needed
- Excellent organizational skills, with both electronic data and physical files
- Ability to handle personal information with sensitivity and confidentiality
- Ability to communicate effectively over the phone, in person, and over email
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a lively, energetic environment
- Willingness to learn and implement Trauma-Informed Practices to help create an environment of safety, awareness, trust, and empathy with youth and fellow staff members
- Willingness to develop and exemplify social-emotional competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making
- Bilingual Spanish/English speaking preferred
