Membership and Recruitment Student Leader

Job Summary
The Membership and Recruitment Student Leader will support membership engagement during New Student & Family Orientation events in the summer. Responsibilities include staffing the Texas Parents Association table, welcoming families, assisting with on-site membership registration, distributing benefit packets, and providing customer service. Ideal candidates are outgoing and professional, have strong communication skills, and can quickly learn and explain membership processes. Candidates must be full-time students with a minimum GPA of 2.0, and demonstrate reliability and a commitment to customer interaction.
Required Qualifications
- Full-time student for the current Spring 2026 semester.
- Be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA.
- High energy and comfort interacting with large numbers of parents and families.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a polished, professional demeanor.
- Ability to learn detailed membership processes and explain them clearly.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to working assigned Orientation dates.
- Comfortable using digital systems, searching databases, and entering information accurately.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior customer service, sales, or event staffing experience.
- Knowledge of UT Austin campus life and student experience.
Additional Requirements
- Must be available for the majority of New Student Orientation sessions (May–August).
- Shifts may require standing for extended periods.
- Class enrollment and other on-campus jobs are allowed on a case-by-case basis.
