Job Summary
Implement membership strategies to drive new member recruitment and retention while fostering a member-focused culture. Recruit, hire, train, and direct personnel and volunteers, then review and evaluate staff performance against goals. Coordinate program registration logistics for phone, walk-in, and web enrollment, and collaborate with marketing to maximize enrollments. Manage and implement the approved membership budget, correcting variances as needed. Ensure proper front desk procedure implementation, update protocols, and reconcile 3rd party insurance swipes weekly. Organize membership events and represent the YMCA at community gatherings to promote the organization. Lead assigned aspects of the fundraising campaign and participate in staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Safety training
- Willingness and ability to be a mandated reporter for any signs or suspicion of child abuse and neglect
- Completion of Suspected Child Abuse/Neglect reporting form
- Calling children protective services (696-Kids)
- Notifying immediate supervisor, branch executive, risk management and human resources department
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
- Ability to work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Associate's Degree in the related field
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate of competency
- 2-3 years of related work experience
- 4-6 years of related work experience
- 2 years supervisory experience in customer service
- Experience with standard business software
- Excellent personal computer skills
- Demonstrate commitment to the mission, cause of the YMCA, and uphold its values and ethics
