Job Summary
Support adults 18+ with disabilities in ADLs, ILS, and physical assistance while implementing weekly schedules, menus, and activities. Provide guests with the support needed to participate in community and in-house activities per their personal goals. Dispense medications according to MAP regulations, maintain program cleanliness, and complete daily shift notes and incident reports. Attend weekly staff meetings and ensure all MAP rules and regulations are followed. If not MAP certified on hire, obtain certification within three months. A valid MA driver's license, CPR/First Aid certification, and ability to lift 20 lbs. are required.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated background and knowledge of individuals with disabilities
- Valid MA Driver's license and clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- MAP Certification
- High School diploma or GED
- English language skills
- Must be able to see and read fine print
- Must be able to communicate utilizing a telephone
- Must have the mobility to allow access to all parts of the Easton office, as well as meet with members, staff and community partners out in the community
- Must be willing and able to learn all necessary computer functions
- Must be able to lift boxes weighing at least 20 lbs
- Must be able to sit and talk or hear
- Must be able to use repetitive wrist and hand motions involved in sorting and handling documents
- Must be able to physically assist members as necessary, including but not limited to using the restroom, vehicle transfers and wheelchair transfers
- Must be able to obtain MAP certification within 3 months if not certified on hire
