Job Summary
Delivers excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the facility and on the phone, contributing to member retention. Interviews and tours prospective members to sell memberships, while building relationships that help members connect with one another and the YMCA. Handles and resolves membership concerns, applying all YMCA policies and guidelines with sound judgment to ensure satisfaction. Performs general cleaning and monitors locker rooms, completing additional tasks as deemed necessary by administration. Requires CPR/AED, First Aid, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications within 60 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- CPR/AED certification
- First Aid & Child Abuse Prevention Training
- Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds, ages and abilities
- Previous customer service, sales or related experience
- Knowledge of computers including point of sale and data base entry
- Strong ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to stand and use a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate using a computer and phone/smart device
- Ability to sit and reach
- Ability to move around the work environment
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Close vision
- Distance vision
- Ability to adjust vision
