Job Summary
Answer multi-line phones, greet members by name, and process cash, check, and credit card payments while checking members in and out. Record messages accurately, manage the front desk area, and handle daily till reconciliation. Coordinate member complaints with the MSR Coordinator, organize lost and found items, and assist departments with registrations and project tasks. Maintain a clean workspace, review the Communication Binder daily, and adhere to safety and credit card policies. Work independently as needed, attend mandatory monthly meetings and trainings including child abuse prevention, and report policy violations or suspicious behavior.
Required Qualifications
- Strong administrative and computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, program and operating software, Google suites, and internet applications
- Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations
- Ability to relate well and communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, in all circumstances
- Pass and comprehensive background screening
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a current CPR and first aid certification or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire
- Valid drivers license
- Proof of insurance
- Driving record which meets or exceeds YMCA standards
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer skills are necessary, as well as the ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm
- Passion for high standards and beliefs in the YMCA mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility
- Flexible schedule as needed as on occasion may need to work evenings and/or weekends
- Occasional travel required
