Job Summary
Process banking financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cash advances while verifying currency and balancing drawers daily. Identify members to cash checks, research and resolve inquiries regarding policies and products, and cross-sell credit union services through referrals to Financial Service Representatives and partners. Assist other departments with merchant verifications and fulfill assigned share, deposit, lending, and referral partner targets. This role requires 100 percent on-site presence and includes Saturday shifts from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Candidates must be NMLS SAFE ACT compliant and possess strong communication skills to promote products effectively.
Required Qualifications
- High School or Equivalent
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work Saturdays 8:30am - 1:30pm
- NMLS SAFE ACT compliant
- Must obtain, and maintain, a National Mortgage Licensing Systems (NMLS) number as required by the SAFE Act
Desired Qualifications
- Cash handling and customer service experience
- Prior Credit Union or Banking Experience
- Ability to promote all credit union products and services to members and overcome objections and concerns
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, follow instructions, and maintain a high level of professional conduct
- Strong customer service focus with previous experience in a service industry
- Must be PC literate
