Job Summary
Member Services Officer responsible for comprehensive member support across accounts and lending, including opening all account types, processing wire transfers, handling foreign currency, and providing guidance on financial services; will greet and assist members in person, via phone, and digitally, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to security procedures. Requires knowledge of consumer lending, SECU guidelines, Notary Public services, and ability to organize documents and support additional training. Strong communication, problem solving, and customer-service orientation with willingness to participate in ongoing learning and community activities.
Required Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prefer Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree or related certifications as noted in job description
- Minimum of 2 years directly related experience strongly preferred
- Must possess aptitude for meeting people and developing member confidence, respect, and trust
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be self-motivated and dependable
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and use good judgment
- Active listener and communicator
- Complete Credit Union Core Module Program within 12 months of hire date
