Job Summary
Member Services Officer 3 – Relationship Specialist identifies the financial needs of Credit Union members and cross-sells products, processes loan and deposit-based transactions, and resolves member inquiries by phone, email, or in person. Responsibilities include promoting and cross-selling Credit Union services and programs, reviewing credit reports to identify opportunities, opening new membership and share accounts, promoting GAP, MBI, and Debt Cancellation during loan applications, providing advanced problem resolution, and coaching other branch staff. Requires two years of progressive sales experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and certification milestones for MSO roles. Travel to training and meetings at various locations is possible.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of progressive sales and cross-selling experience in a financial or retail environment
- Knowledge of consumer loans, processing and funding
- Successful completion of core competencies certification (within six months)
- Successful completion of Member Services Officer 2 certification
- Successful completion of Member Services Officer 3 certification
- Knowledge of Credit Union products and services
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Word) desirable
