Job Summary
Member Services Associate at the Jim & Heather Gills Branch YMCA handles member greetings and service at the desk, resolves complaints, processes deposits, maintains the Daily Membership Tracker, and serves as point of contact when directors are not on site. Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, ensuring policy adherence, and communicating issues to management, with shifts that may include evenings and weekends. Requires HS diploma or equivalent, 12 months' customer service experience and at least 6 months' supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 12 months' experience in membership or customer service
- Minimum 6 months' team lead or supervisory experience
- Reliability and dependability; ability to work with minimal supervisor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; accuracy and attention to detail; ability to relate effectively to diverse groups
- Must attain CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
