Job Summary
Conduct teller duties, open complex trust and business accounts, and process loan applications including payoff calculations and disbursement. Deliver sales and service excellence by cross-selling debt protection coverage and overcoming objections to improve member financial lives. Adhere to all compliance requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act guidelines, and perform assigned office operations while traveling between branches. This role encompasses pay grades 5 through 7, with a starting rate of $21 per hour up to $24 based on experience. Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to perform all duties associated with the Member Service Specialist I and Member Service Specialist II positions, including but not limited to all teller duties as well as new account functions
- Must be able to demonstrate product knowledge, recognize opportunities and overcome objections while recommending products and services that will improve the members financial lives
- Must be able to clearly present, explain and maintain these accounts and the service terms and conditions to meet all compliance requirements
- Must have knowledge of all essential procedures to obtain required documentation to complete loan interview process
- Must be able to answer and perform general loan inquires, including but not limited to calculating payoff statements, updating payment information and adjusting debt protection products
- Must have the ability to travel between credit union branches as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 - 3 years of similar or related experience that aligns with MSS I and MSS II skill sets (Teller and New Accounts)
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
