Job Summary
Member Service Representative at the West Suburban YMCA (Newton, MA) provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants, promotes memberships and programs, conducts tours for prospective members, handles membership concerns, keeps lobby and desk areas organized, and supports emergency procedures per YMCA policies. Requires CPR/AED and First Aid within 30 days, strong interpersonal skills, ability to relate to diverse groups, prior customer service or sales experience, and computer literacy. Part-time shifts include early mornings, days, evenings, and weekends; opportunities to pick additional shifts. Free YMCA membership and a welcoming, collaborative environment are offered.
Required Qualifications
- CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire
- First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
- Previous customer service or sales experience
- Basic knowledge of computers
