Job Summary
Member Service Representatives (MSRs) are the friendly faces of IU Credit Union within the communities we serve. They build relationships by delivering an outstanding member experience, handling transactions accurately, and identifying needs to connect members with the right solutions. This role thrives on creating positive, in-person interactions where every conversation is an opportunity to make a difference. Typical duties include greeting members by name, processing deposits/withdrawals/loan payments/check cashing with an accurate cash drawer, answering questions about accounts/services/products, researching/resolving account issues with professionalism and empathy, actively listening to identify member needs and recommending meaningful financial solutions, and remaining vigilant for fraudulent activity. Keys to success include delivering accurate/timely service, building trust through positive communication, staying organized in a fast-paced environment, maintaining professional knowledge to support members, and upholding a caring, community-focused mindset.
Required Qualifications
- One or more years of customer service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working directly with members in a face-to-face environment
- Availability to work onsite Monday to Thursday 8:45am – 5:15pm, Friday 8:45am - 5:45pm, and every other Saturday 8:45am - 1:15pm
- Ability to learn and adapt to new information and technology platforms
