Job Summary
Process new memberships, share accounts, and estate trust documents while counseling members on policies and verifying information. Handle consumer loan applications, assist with document signings, and perform audits on opened accounts. Develop relationships by matching member needs with appropriate savings, convenience, and lending products to meet sales goals. Diffuse upset members, take ownership of issues, and provide solutions while identifying and reporting suspicious activity. Perform complex account administration transactions, including advanced IRA knowledge and distributions, and serve as a Notary Public for Medallion and Signature Guarantee requests. Provide superior service, exceed standards, and train new representatives while adhering to operational controls and regulatory procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years' experience with a financial institution in Member/customer service.
- Ability to use strong knowledge of products, services, and branch operations.
- Minimum $23.18 / Mid. $28.93 / Max. $33.69 an hour
- Monday – Friday 9:00AM to 5:00PM and Saturday 9:00AM to 2:00PM
- flexibility to work a varied work schedule, including before and after business hours, and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience with a financial institution in Member/customer service working in a credit union environment.
- Proficient in all applicable MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in person and over the phone including very good active listening skills.
- Very good interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing high-quality service to our Members and working as a team player.
- Personable and professional coaching and mentoring skills.
- Very good problem-solving skills.
