Job Summary
Open, close, and maintain consumer and business checking, savings, CD, IRA, and HSA accounts while performing Chexsystems screenings, stop payments, and card disputes. Process deposits via in-person, night depository, or mail; disburse withdrawals; and handle loan payments, IRA contributions, and Visa cash advances. Interview loan applicants, evaluate financial positions, recommend loan options, and review approved loan terms. Identify and cross-sell Beacon products and services, assist members with online banking access, and resolve inquiries within authority. Scan checks, balance cash drawers, and update Core system and Application Xtender documentation. Maintain high cash handling skills and detail orientation while working Monday-Friday 8:10-5:15 and Saturday 8:40-12:15.
Required Qualifications
- One to three years of prior banking experience
- High School Diploma or HSE
- Excellent cash handling and member service skills
- Excellent working knowledge of all Beacon products and services
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Extremely detail oriented
- Basic knowledge of personal computer operations and related software programs
- Ability to cross-sell Beacon products and services according to member needs
- Standard position hours are Monday-Friday 8:10-5:15 and Saturday 8:40-12:15 (1 Saturday off per month)
- When working Saturday morning, this employee will standardly have a 1/2 day off during the same calendar week
- Hours may vary based on member center coverage needs
