Job Summary
Conduct member interactions via phone and in-person to drive membership sales, retention, and satisfaction. Process payments, maintain balanced cash drawers, and ensure accurate data entry for new members, renewals, and program participants within the DAXKO system. Greet visitors, provide tours, track equipment loans, and administer surveys while keeping front desk and lobby areas neat. Answer telephones, respond to inquiries, and support retail sales following established YMCA guidelines. Inform supervisors of any concerns during shifts and participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and fundraising events. Maintain a professional appearance and visibly engage with members, volunteers, and staff to demonstrate core values.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years high school and 16 years old
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Safety training
- Willing and able to be a mandated reporter for any signs or suspicion of child abuse or neglect
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Cash management experience
- Computer and keyboarding experience
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette
- Strong customer service skills
- Organized and able to follow directions
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Comfortable working in a membership driven environment
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission and cause of the YMCA, and uphold its values and ethics
- Able to work effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions
- Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
