Member Service Representative

Job Summary

Provide 5-star customer service to Conexon Members by addressing and responding to consumer needs through clear communication with end users, colleagues, and management. Assist potential members in identifying service area eligibility, guide new members through account creation and plan selection, and answer general account questions regarding billing, pricing, and service details. Support ongoing departmental projects and other duties that drive continuous improvement and career development. This full-time, hourly role includes a Monday-Friday training schedule followed by a rotating schedule of 9am-6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in telephonic customer service role(s)
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Strong eye for details
  • Superb communication skills
  • Unflappable, professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask between systems and adapt to change
  • Analytical thinker with technical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate computer software programs including, but not limited to: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, email applications, and other industry/project specific software systems
  • Ability to type proficiently
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit number and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform these operations using unity of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Close visual acuity (with or without corrective glasses)
  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force, or a negligible amount of force, to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
  • Regularly sitting, talking and hearing
  • Standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
