Job Summary
Process a variety of financial and non-financial transactions for members within established guidelines while providing sales and service expertise on new or changing products. Answer telephone inquiries and provide members access to safety deposit boxes, ensuring end-of-day processing and balancing are completed timely per procedures. Utilize keyboarding skills of 40 wpm and proficiency with Windows applications to multitask between searching client data and conversing with members to identify needs and provide resolutions. This role serves as the primary point of contact to build and maintain member relationships, supporting the co-operative's mission to improve financial health across Vancouver Island, the Gulf and Discovery islands, and North Central BC.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma with academic emphasis
- 1 year post-secondary education
- Up to 1 year of work experience in a sales and service position
- Keyboarding skills of 40 wpm
- Computer terminology
- Proficiency with Windows products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to articulate in a clear, concise manner
- Effective listening skills
- Ability to multitask with keyboarding and internet/computer navigation skills
- Interviewing skills
- Ability to ask probing questions
- Flexibility to adapt to each request and move between a variety of member concerns/questions/requests
- Approachable problem solver
