Job Summary
As a Member Service Representative, process a variety of financial and non-financial transactions for members, provide sales and service expertise to inform members of new products/services, answer telephone inquiries, provide access to safety deposit boxes, and perform end-of-day balancing. Must be a collaborative team player with strong communication, listening, and multitasking abilities; proficient in Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel; capable of probing to identify member financial needs and refer to appropriate products/services; location: Campbell River, BC, on-site.
Required Qualifications
- A secondary school diploma with academic emphasis
- 1 year post-secondary education
- Up to 1 year of work experience in a sales and service position
- Keyboarding skills of 40 wpm and computer terminology are required, in addition to proficiency with Windows products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel applications
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate clearly
- Effective listening skills to engage members and identify needs
- Ability to multitask with keyboarding and internet navigation while conversing with members
- Interviewing skills and the ability to ask probing questions
- Ability to adapt to various member concerns/requests
