Job Summary
Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and account transfers in person, by mail, or by telephone while balancing checks and cash. Verify loan payments and checks for proper endorsement, inputting data into the computer system and Synapsys MRM. Provide basic account information for loans and shares, contact members regarding deposit accounts and loan applications, and identify opportunities for cross-selling products. Adhere to credit union policies, security procedures, and CTR/SAR reporting requirements while maintaining courteous, professional service. Requires 12 months of financial institution experience, high school diploma, and proficiency in Symitar and Synapsys MRM. Full-time role at the Chantilly Branch.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum (12) twelve months financial institution or cash handling experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Excellent interpersonal and member/customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent math ability and attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of Symitar for posting teller transactions and inquiry on deposit accounts and loan accounts
- Ability to learn and cross-sell credit union products and services
- Proficient in Synapsys MRM, to act on PSO's, create and input to events, and retrieve and read My Sales reports
- PC proficient
- The ability to lift 25 lbs
- Ability to function in a financial institution environment
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to represent the credit union in a courteous, professional manner
- Ability to learn and cross-sell credit union products and services
- Ability to perform basic inquiry on loan applications in process
