Job Summary
Deliver exceptional member service to all customers, volunteers, and service providers by explaining products and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments. Execute routine teller transactions accurately, balance cash and checks, and safeguard member information through strict adherence to policies. Cross-sell Credit Union, investment, insurance, and auto services while maintaining proper documentation for all activities. Support branch operations by performing opening and closing duties, attending departmental meetings, and participating in committees. Complete orders for forms and supplies as needed. This part-time role requires 24 to 25 hours per week, including rotating Saturdays, and involves a people-first approach within a not-for-profit financial institution dedicated to community well-being.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- At least six months experience in retail sales
- Cash handling experience
- Ability to count and balance cash
- Ability to effectively cross-sell products and services using a needs-based sales approach
- Ability to work a rotating schedule which will include working on rotating Saturdays
- Ability to learn new products, services, procedures, technology and concepts
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of basic math principles
- Knowledge of basic financial institution products and services
- Skilled in the operation of office equipment including personal computers with Internet and intranet access
