Member Service Associate - Part Time

Job Summary
Conduct routine teller work, balance cash and checks, and complete member transactions accurately using established policies. Provide exceptional service to members, volunteers, and staff while explaining products and cross-selling RCU, investment, insurance, and auto services. Safeguard member information by following confidentiality procedures and direct inquiries to appropriate departments. Perform branch opening and closing duties, attend meetings, and complete orders for forms and supplies as assigned. Work 24 to 25 hours per week on a rotating schedule including Saturdays. This role supports Redwood Credit Union's mission to serve the North Bay community through best-in-class customer service and financial well-being.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- At least six months experience in retail sales
- Cash handling experience
- Ability to count and balance cash
- Ability to effectively cross-sell products and services using a needs-based sales approach
- Ability to work a rotating schedule which will include working on rotating Saturdays
- Ability to learn new products, services, procedures, technology and concepts
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of basic math principles
- Knowledge of basic financial institution products and services
- Skilled in the operation of office equipment including personal computers with Internet and intranet access
