Job Summary
Member Service Agent at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota supports the Direct Sales Channel by executing retention strategies, guiding and assisting current members with plan enrollments and inquiries, and coordinating with Sales, Marketing and CX. Responsibilities include leading retention initiatives, delivering presentations and materials in in-person and virtual settings, maintaining CRM records, handling inquiries, performing administrative tasks, administering surveys, and staying compliant with regulations. Requires 2+ years’ experience or a bachelor’s degree, a MN Life & Health/Accident license within 60 days, strong communication and relationship-building skills, ability to manage multiple retention activities, and willingness to travel. The role blends in-office collaboration two days per week with remote work for the remaining days and offers a compensation range of $60,000–$70,000 plus commission, with a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' related experience or bachelor’s degree
- Valid MN Resident Producer License in Life & Health/Accident within 60 days of employment
- High school diploma (or equivalency)
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated effective communication and attention to detail
- Ability to organize, prioritize and follow through on retention strategies, member interactions and sales support activities
- Travel as needed
- Experience with Salesforce or CRM tool
- Understanding of health care industry or health insurance (preferred)
