Job Summary
Branch Team Lead supports member transactions and cross-sells credit union products in a full-time onsite branch role in Anchorage, AK. Responsibilities include handling a wide range of teller duties (receiving/disbursing funds, deposits, loan and Visa payments, transfers, cash advances, withdrawals, account maintenance, opening deposit accounts including business accounts), contributing to sales goals through cross-selling and referrals, leading sales huddles and end-of-day debriefs, ensuring RS staff meet referral standards, assisting with card services, online banking setup, risk and compliance duties, cash handling and vault oversight, opening/closing branches in absence of management, and participating in training, audits, scheduling, and performance processes. Required qualifications emphasize multiple years of sales/operations experience, lead teller experience, knowledge of cash handling, regulatory knowledge (BSA, Reg CC, Reg E, and related), deposit/loan product knowledge, strong communication and leadership skills, and a professional demeanor. The role is high-responsibility with a focus on leadership, compliance, daily cash handling, and sales-driven performance in a credit-union environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years progressive experience in sales and/or operations
- 18 months Lead Teller experience
- Knowledge of cash handling and negotiable items
- Knowledge of BSA, Regulation CC, D, E and all other pertinent regulations
- Comprehensive knowledge of all deposit and loan products and all services
- Knowledge of all applicable Federal, State and NCUA regulations
- Demonstrated ability to operate office machines to include 10-key and PC
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Excellent cash balancing record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, member service, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and guidance, and work as a team member of a diverse group
- Must present a professional demeanor
- Computer Literate
- Knowledge of Outlook and be able to compute interest on savings, loans, and certificates
- Capable of working under pressure and with frequent interruptions
- Be able to demonstrate use of sound judgment
- Be able to multi-task
- Education: High School Diploma
- Completion of STAR Program for Deposit Services
