Job Summary
Member Relations Champion at the Hammond YMCA who delivers frontline member service, welcomes and assists members, conducts facility tours, handles membership inquiries and account alerts, maintains a cash drawer with accurate shift closeouts, and conducts cause-driven tours to support membership growth and retention. The role includes onboarding and training new staff, collaborating with department leaders to ensure efficient service, contributing to internal training and communications, handling escalated member concerns calmly, promoting membership benefits, and participating in emergency response per YMCA policy. Strong emphasis on building meaningful relationships, delivering exemplary service, and upholding YMCA core values. Requires weekend/evening availability and CRM/computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 18
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum of 12 months of job-related experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to relate and communicate with diverse groups of people
- Minimum 18 hours per week
- Adept computer skills with CRM experience
- Ability to model YMCA mission, values, and professional standards
