Member of the Technical Staff, Pretraining

Member of the Technical Staff will own pretraining end-to-end: design architectures and training objectives for a foundation model focused on biological reasoning, run pretraining at scale on multi-GPU clusters, and evaluate whether the model has learned real biological reasoning. Responsibilities include advancing architecture and training approaches for biological modalities, building unified representations across molecular biology data, extending reasoning across biological phenomena, and designing evaluation frameworks. The role requires proficiency in Python and PyTorch, experience pretraining large models on diverse data, and the ability to own the full research-to-training pipeline with production-quality code. Bonus points for background in chemistry/biology/bi Computational biology, multimodal learning, open-source contributions, and a strong publication record in NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR.
