Job Summary
Own backend development and ML systems powering Sphinx's financial crime detection platform, including building browser agents for legacy government portals and unstructured data. Reconcile entities across borders and shell structures within a global risk graph while designing scalable inference systems to process millions of daily transactions with low latency. Deploy software to production environments using Python and AWS, ensuring robust error handling and compliance with AML and KYC standards. This high-agency role involves direct client interaction and works on frontier technology at a seed-stage startup.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with backend development and/or ML, especially Python and AWS
- Hands-on experience deploying software to production environments
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to interact with clients

- Background with distributed inference and optimization on AWS
