Job Summary
Design and scale high-throughput pipelines for petabyte-scale multimodal data, including robot sensor logs, action logs, and web-scale image, video, and text. Own the architecture and reliability of the ingestion, storage, transformation, and data operations platform that feeds robot model training. Implement platform-level controls for data quality, lineage, and compliance to enforce standards defined by annotation and ML teams. Build tooling that enables ML teams to discover, understand, and trust their data assets. Lead workstreams to make high-leverage architectural decisions while ensuring the infrastructure remains fast, cost-efficient, and scalable.
Required Qualifications
- Strong background with production systems at real scale
- Extensive experience developing cloud-based data infrastructure for automated data pipelines
- Experience owning a data platform's reliability and cost over time
- Comfort operating close to ML teams and translating their needs into durable infrastructure
- The ability to lead a workstream and make high-leverage architectural decisions
Desired Qualifications
- Multimodal or robotics/sensor data experience
- Familiarity with compliance and KPI-tracking requirements in customer-facing deployments
- Experience with data-lineage, catalog, or governance systems
