Job Summary
Build the data curriculum by sourcing, mixing, weighting, and sequencing data across pre-training and post-training phases. Run experiments to quantify how curriculum choices impact model quality and develop tooling that makes changes fast, measurable, and reproducible. Cultivate an evidence-based understanding of which data improves models and partner with research teams to mentor on data-centric methodology. This senior IC role sits between the data platform and research teams, driving one of the company's highest-leverage bets in general-purpose robotics.
Required Qualifications
- A track record of improving models through data rather than architecture alone
- Rigor in experimental design and in correctly attributing model changes to data changes
- The ability to lead a cross-cutting workstream and influence multiple teams without owning them
- Sound skills to build the tooling your experiments depend on
- Clear communication of results and their implications
- E-Verify process of digital verification of your employment authorization documents
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with large multimodal or VLA training data
- Familiarity with data-mixture and scaling-law research
- A history of data-centric wins on real models
