Job Summary
Member of Technical Staff at xAI focusing on RL infrastructure. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining frameworks for agent, data, and model evaluation tasks; building environments for AI agents; developing tools to automate workflows; improving alerts, metrics and error handling for large-scale RL jobs; refactoring frameworks for modularity; designing operational procedures and coding standards; and writing unit tests and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid development cycles. Key qualifications include experience building frameworks used by many engineers, high-performance sandboxes/VMs/simulations, full-stack apps for automating workflows and data visualization, and rapid iteration from research to production. Compensation includes $180k-$440k USD with equity and comprehensive benefits.
