Job Summary
Member of Technical Staff, Production / DevOps Platform Engineering role in Bangalore leading internal platform services, testbed governance, and dashboard/observability improvements for IDP and fleet management. Design and maintain APIs, workflows, and automation for provisioning and governance of test infrastructure; build developer dashboards and data models to support triage, visibility, and product trend observation; enhance platform reliability, lifecycle control, and integration with OpenStack, Kubernetes, and cloud/VM environments; collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, secure platform solutions and documentation. The role emphasizes platform engineering, workflow automation, observability, API-driven services, and infrastructure lifecycle management, with focus on improving testbed workflows, lease management, governance, and on-demand infrastructure usage.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering fundamentals and experience building backend or platform systems
- Experience with Linux systems, automation, and production-grade debugging
- Experience with Go and scripting for infrastructure or platform automation
- Experience with APIs, service integrations, and workflow-based systems
- Familiarity with VM lifecycle management, cloud or virtualization platforms, and infrastructure orchestration (OpenStack or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in ambiguous areas
- Ability to work across teams and turn operational pain points into reliable platform improvements
- Experience building internal platforms, developer productivity tools, or infrastructure services
- Experience with observability, dashboards, or engineering-facing operational tooling
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerized systems, or fleet-scale infrastructure management
- Experience contributing to large-scale distributed systems or open source ecosystems
- Experience improving service reliability, governance, and lifecycle control for shared infrastructure
