Job Summary
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and cloud infrastructure to keep a large codebase testable and releasable. Develop tooling that packages, versions, and deploys software to robots in the field, ensuring safe rollouts and consistency across Docker-based environments. Automate manual steps in build, test, and release workflows while provisioning and operating backend services. Add monitoring, logging, and alerting across infrastructure to catch problems early. Collaborate with robot software, fleet, and AI engineers to understand deployment needs and serve them with reliable infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Solid hands-on experience with CI/CD, build systems, and infrastructure automation in a production environment
- Working experience with a major cloud provider (AWS preferred), including compute, storage, and networking basics
- Practical experience with Docker and container-based workflows
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) and comfort automating complex workflows
- Experience with a CI system (GitHub Actions or similar) and building reliable pipelines
- Comfort operating, debugging, and automating on Linux
- Ability to own infrastructure end-to-end and care about the reliability of what you ship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience deploying software to physical devices, edge hardware, or robots (OTA updates, fleet rollout, etc.)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling
- Exposure to build systems such as Bazel at scale
- Experience with monitoring/observability stacks and telemetry pipelines
- Interest in robotics and the particular challenges of shipping software to machines in the real world
