Job Summary
Establish new member relationships by opening consumer and deposit accounts while processing transactions efficiently to identify additional needs. Retain existing members through consultative advising on products and services, ensuring required documentation is completed accurately and resolving problems in accordance with regulations. Transition members to specialized representatives for complex requests or loan applications and promote self-service banking options. Perform branch-specific duties including vault balancing, currency preparation, night deposits, and zone management to maintain operational readiness.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a retail or customer service environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Limited lifting up to 20 lbs
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of financial products and services offered by credit unions (e.g., checking accounts, loans, mortgages, etc.) preferred
- Previous experience in the financial services or credit union industry is highly preferred
