Member Assistance Officer (Spanish Required)

Job Summary
Responsible for the control of delinquent loan accounts, overdrawn checking accounts, and pending past due payment reminders. Makes follow up telephone calls on delinquent accounts and maintains accurate records of member contact. Supports inbound and makes outbound collection calls. Updates applications and interviews past due members. Skip traces members. Reviews delinquency reports and risk to reduce loss; negotiates and implements payment plans; evaluates accounts for repossession/charge off; reviews bankruptcy and deceased-member/bankruptcy processes; works early to mid-stage consumer delinquent loans; documents collection processes accurately. Spanish language required. Bachelor's degree preferred with 1-2 years in collection or risk management. Must comply with applicable financial regulations and maintain confidentiality of member records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- One to two years collection and/or risk management experience preferred
- Certified in Basic knowledge of deceased members and bankruptcy processes
