Job Summary
Member Advocate at the Bridgeport Village Branch focuses on in-person member engagement to open accounts, process loans, and provide cross-sell opportunities while delivering high-quality service. Responsibilities include assisting members with new accounts and loan applications, performing monetary and non-monetary transactions, applying fraud prevention and accuracy in transactions, expanding knowledge of credit union products, collaborating with staff to resolve questions, and exceeding sales and service goals. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least one year of customer-service experience, strong communication skills, comfort with technology, notary and NMLS certification eligibility in Oregon/Washington, and Spanish-speaking ability preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent certificate
- Minimum one year of work experience in a fast-paced customer service role that includes in-person or telephone assistance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in using technology to accomplish work
- Experience with cash handling preferred
- Spanish-speaking skills preferred
- Ability to be certified through NMLS and as a Notary Public in Oregon/Washington
