Job Summary
Process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, while accurately handling cash and maintaining secure records. Greet members warmly, identify their needs, and offer appropriate solutions for account inquiries, transaction processing, and problem resolution. Open new accounts for checking, savings, IRA, and Term Certificate products, and guide members through the loan application process to finalize system-approved loans within defined authority. Educate members about credit union products and services, cross-sell loans and credit cards, and refer complex needs to specialized advisors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve member questions, escalate complex issues, and ensure all activities comply with policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in banking, customer service, or sales
- General knowledge of financial products, services, and lending regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office
- Commitment to providing outstanding member service and maintaining member confidentiality
- Ability to move around a branch to interact with members
- Manual Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for tasks such as counting cash and operating office equipment
- Ability to carry and lift office items, up to 25 pounds
- Visual and auditory abilities to understand and communicate with the public
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 35 miles to provide coverage and collaborate with regional branches
- Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Average of 36-40 hours within a Monday through Saturday work week
