Job Summary
Deliver front-line service by identifying member needs through thoughtful financial conversations and assisting with online banking setup. Build strong relationships with current and potential members by recognizing their life stage cycle, providing tailored financial advice, or referring them to appropriate advisors. Process a full range of member transactions including account openings, debit/credit cards, and deposits while directing members to digital channels to increase adoption. Achieve established individual sales and referral targets by proactively promoting Tru Cooperative Bank products and participating in branch campaigns. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices to protect organizational interests, striving to meet service level agreements and productivity targets. Work within a busy environment to foster a positive, diverse work environment by assisting and mentoring others.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education and/or experience
- Completion of Tru Cooperative Sales Essentials Course
- 2 years of retail/customer service experience or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to identify needs and recommend products and services to members
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with current and potential members
- Demonstrated ability to be positive, flexible to change and work in a busy environment
- Proficient in computer software programs e.g. Microsoft Office
- Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- College, Trade or Tech School Diploma (2 years)
- Sales and cash handling experience
